A stipple sponge is one of the most useful Halloween makeup applicators - especially when applying special effects blood. When you're looking for that splattered effect, just dab the stipple sponge into some FX blood and dab lightly on the skin. Since the sponge has deep pockets, only portions of the sponge will touch the skin and transfer speckles of blood. Great for use around bullet holes, cuts, wounds, etc. This is also a handy sponge for applying small amounts of makeup, for example when you need a bruise effect. Putting makeup on with a solid sponge would not give the subtle color changes of a more realistic bruise like the stipple sponge would. Dab the different makeup colors on and then blend slightly with a solid sponge for the best look. A very useful Halloween makeup tool that can be cut into several small pieces to get the most use out of it.
